Hello Everyone!
Back again for another day of Countdown to Christmas Noms!!! A savory item… FINALLY! I have been so hungry for appetizers (one of my favorite food groups) lately and I decided a delish Christmassy Snowman was just what I needed.
WHAT DO I NEED?!
- 1 8oz block of cream cheese (or neufchâtel if you’re in the mood to be fancy and 1/3 less fat)
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (1/4 cup into the mixture and 1/4 cup to roll the cheese balls in after to look like fresh snow)
- 1 garlic clove, grated or finely minced
- the zest of 1/2 an orange
- black olives (for his eyes and buttons!)
- small carrot sliver (for his nose, OBV.)
- salt & pepper (1/4 tsp each)
HOW DO I MAKE THS GUY!?
Mix the cream cheese, parmesan, mozzarella, garlic, salt and pepper, and orange zest in a mixing bowl. Separate the mixture into two balls, one bigger, and one smaller (body and head!) and roll them in the remaining mozzarella. Stack the balls to form the snowman. Use a small knife to cut the olives for his eyes and buttons, and to form your carrot nose. Chill for at least 30 minutes before slicing into his delicious butt (or his face if you’re into that kind of thing). Serve with assorted crackers!
He is definitely going to be the star at any Holiday Partaaay he attends. Would definitely recommend inviting him.
Happy Eating!
